- Lisedeki liderlik anılarınızdan bahsetmekten kaçının ve kendinizi aşırı övmeyin.
- Ailenizin ya da dininizin sizin için ne kadar önemli olduğu gibi ayrıntıları da es geçebilirsiniz.

When I was X years old, I decided I wanted to study X
. Looking back on it now, I realize that the most prominent factor affecting my decision at the time was my conscience. I had always felt uncomfortable when faced with inequalities and when I hit my teenage years I started to develop an interest in human rights. I came to the conclusion that studying X would enable me to understand and analyze these issues from theoretical and intellectual perspectives within the context of X as well as equip me with the right tools to do something positive about issues I felt strongly about.Having completed my degree in the spring of 2013, I still believe that law is a reliable and fundamental force for the betterment of humanity.
During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to benefit from
a practice and case-based education and curriculum that avoided rote learning. This has helped me to improve my critical thinking skills as well as introducing me to a human-centered approach rather than a code-centered one. This was not always easy, and it was even confusing at times. However, I believe I have managed to improve on my weaknesses through disciplined study and research.As can be seen on my transcript, I took a wide array of courses on different branches of civil and penal law as well as studying international law from my first year onwards. My GPA may not seem high in comparison to the average in Turkey but is actually quite high when compared to GPAs of other students in my faculty, which is deemed one of the hardest law faculties to graduate from in Turkey.
As an undergraduate student, I participated in the Erasmus Plus (

This gave me the valuable experience of meeting peers from around the world and expanded my horizons on a number of subjects from democracy and active citizenship to entrepreneurship and volunteering. I also became familiar with a number of issues from X to the X. And perhaps most importantly, I had the chance to approach these issues from a comparative perspective.Following my graduation, I completed my internship in X with a thesis on X and became a licensed attorney in September 2014. During this one year, I have also completed a six-month internship in X in Turkey where I had the opportunity to work with cases related to the X. I have had the chance to observe how legal institutions interact with society as well a chance to think about the relation between social sciences in terms of the betterment of human life.
My other internship involved working in a law office which enabled me to get familiar with actual practices in a variety of areas from X to X Here, I have had ample opportunity to observe the importance of an international approach to legal practices due to the growing role of the international community. During this one year, I have had the chance to observe the importance of dispute settlement at many levels and wish to study this area of law which I believe will equip me with relevant skills as well as a contemporary understanding of this critical process. I believe this is a particularly important area of legal work in Turkey where tensions in both public and private spheres would greatly benefit from informed, contemporary approaches that contribute to the establishment of sound mechanisms of justice.
When I think about the ways I can contribute to knowledge and learning
in your university, I realize that circumstances in this part of the world have introduced more malpractice than good practice to me. Through different volunteer programs, I have had the chance to familiarise myself with
legal practices in poverty-stricken countries in the Balkans and Caucasia. I have also witnessed the direct effects of malpractice on human life in the region. (bu kısım çok kişisel, o yüzdenburaya başkabir şeygelmeli !)As for my native country Turkey, I feel that relatively well-written laws are mostly rendered ineffective through bad practices. All these have provided me with an understanding as to what must not be done as well what is needed. I believe that I will find the best conditions and culmination of knowledge in your university and therefore wish to complete the
masters program of X in your university.
